ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ (ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਾਲਸਾ):- ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਮੂਹ ਪੰਥਕ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੱਜ ਬੰਦੀ ਛੋੜ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਤਿਹਾੜ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਲਈ ਸੰਗਤੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਜਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਨ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਲਈ ਤਰਲਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ, ਦਿੱਲੀ ਇਕਾਈ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਰਨਾ ਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀਕੇ ਨੇ ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ‘ਚ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਦੇਰੀ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਜਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਉਤੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਚੁੱਕੇ। ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਕਾਰਕੁੰਨ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਪਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਸਟੇਜ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਭਾਈ ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੁੱਲਰ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਬਾਰੇ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਮਿਤੀ 21 ਦਸੰਬਰ 2023 ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਸਮੀਖਿਆ ਬੋਰਡ ਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਮੀਟਿੰਗ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਜਨਤਕ ਕੀਤੀ। ਡਾਕਟਰ ਪਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਕੈਲਾਸ਼ ਗਹਿਲੋਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਭਾਈ ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੁੱਲਰ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਬੋਰਡ ਦੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਛੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਾਰਨ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਮਤਾ 6:1 ਨਾਲ ਰੱਦ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਬੋਰਡ ਭਾਈ ਦਵਿੰਦਰ ਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੁੱਲਰ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਮਤੇ ਨੂੰ 4-5 ਵਾਰ ਠੁਕਰਾ ਤੇ 1 ਵਾਰ ਲਟਕਾ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਵਿਤਕਰਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਰਨਾ ਨੇ ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਲਈ ਲੜੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਦਾ ਚੇਤਾ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੀ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਬਣਦੇ ਹੀ ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਹਿਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਗਹਿਣੇ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸਰਨਾ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਧਾਨਸਭਾ ਚੌਣਾਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਮੰਗਣ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣ ਉਤੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੋਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਟਨ ਦਬਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੋਟ ਪਾ ਦੇਣ, ਪਰ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਤਕਰਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾ ਲਾਉਣ। ਜੀਕੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਦਾ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਜਜ਼ਬਾਤੀ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲੜਾਈ ਨੂੰ 1984 ਸਿੱਖ ਕਤਲੇਆਮ ਦੇ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਾਂਗ ਲੜਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਲੜ ਕੇ ਸੱਜਣ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਭਿਜਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਠੀਕ ਉਸੇ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ ਲਈ ਮੋਰਚਾ ਲਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਅੱਜ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਸ਼ਰੇਆਮ ਬੰਦੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ, ਰਾਮ ਰਹੀਮ ਤੇ ਬਿਲਕਿਸ ਬਾਨੋ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ‘ਚ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਿਭਾਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ‘ਚ ਆਏ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਪਸੰਦ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਿੰਟੂ ਨੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਮੋਰਚਾ, ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਸਣੇ, ਸਿੰਘ ਸਭਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਹੁਦੇਦਾਰਾਂ, ਗਤਕਾ ਅਖਾੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਸਣੇ ਬੀਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਭਰੀ।
New Delhi, (Manpreet Singh Khalsa): Today, on the occasion of Bandi Chhor Divas, various Panthic organizations in Delhi gathered outside Tihar Jail to hold a congregational prayer for the release of Bandi Singhs (Sikh prisoners). After singing hymns, the devotees fervently prayed in the name of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji for the release of the Bandi Singhs.
During the gathering, Delhi Akali Dal President Paramjit Singh Sarna and former Delhi Committee President Manjit Singh GK raised concerns over the Delhi Committee leaders’ actions, questioning the delay in releasing the Bandi Singhs. Human rights activist Dr. Parminder Pal Singh, who served as stage secretary, publicly discussed the proceedings from the Delhi Government’s Sentence Review Board meeting on December 21, 2023, which had addressed Bhai Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar’s release. Despite support from Delhi’s Jail Minister Kailash Gahlot, the proposal for Bhullar’s release was reportedly blocked in a 6:1 vote by the other board members. Dr. Parminder Pal Singh claimed that the board has repeatedly either rejected or stalled Bhullar’s release motion multiple times, which he described as direct discrimination against Sikhs.
Sarna reiterated his commitment to the cause, claiming that if his team was elected to the Delhi Committee, they would ensure the immediate release of the Bandi Singhs. He urged the Sikh community to question leaders seeking votes in the upcoming Delhi elections about their stance on the release of Bandi Singhs, and advised voters not to support those showing bias against Sikhs.
GK noted that the release of Bandi Singhs is an emotional issue for the Sikh community, akin to the ongoing struggle for justice for the 1984 Sikh massacre victims. He emphasized the importance of standing up, as they did to bring Sajjan Kumar to justice, and called for a similar movement for Bandi Singhs’ freedom, citing disparities in the legal treatment of cases like Ram Rahim’s and Bilkis Bano’s.
Large numbers of justice-seeking individuals expressed gratitude towards Bhai Gurdeep Singh Mintu of the Qaumi Insaaf Morcha, Mohali. Committee members, Singh Sabha officials, Gatka groups, and women’s groups were also in attendance to show their support.
