1984 ਸਿੱਖ ਕਤਲੇਆਮ ਦੀ 40ਵੀਂ ਵਰੇਗੰਢ ਮੌਕੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਗੰਜ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਤਿਲਕ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸਮਾਗਮ

1984 ਸਿੱਖ ਕਤਲੇਆਮ ਦੀ 40ਵੀਂ ਵਰੇਗੰਢ ਮੌਕੇ ਅੱਜ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਗੰਜ ਸਾਹਿਬ, ਤਿਲਕ ਵਿਹਾਰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਧਾਮੀ, ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸ. ਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀਕੇ ਸਮੇਤ ਹੋਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਖਸ਼ੀਅਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਕਤਲੇਆਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਨਾ ਗਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਧਾ ਦੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਭੇਟ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਰਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਚੁੱਕੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਪੀੜਤ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ‘ਚ ਲੋੜੀਂਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਪਾਵੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਗੰਜ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਲਈ ਵੱਲੋਂ 10 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਧਾਮੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਵੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੇ 10 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ।
ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸ. ਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀਕੇ ਨੇ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ 1984 ਦਾ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼, ਮੁੜ ਵਸੇਬਾ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਉਪਲਬੱਧ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਤੰਤਰ ਦੇ ਰਵਈਏ ਉਤੇ ਨਰਾਜ਼ਗੀ ਜ਼ਾਹਿਰ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ 1984 ਸਿੰਖ ਕਤਲੇਆਮ ਲਈ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਆਫ਼ੀ ਮੰਗਣ ਦੀ ਤਜਵੀਜ਼ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਸ. ਜੀਕੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਪੜਚੋਲ ਕਰੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਪਰੀਮ ਕੋਰਟ ਵੀ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜਦਕਿ 2002 ਦੇ ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਦੰਗਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਸੁਪਰੀਮ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਸੰਗਿਆਨ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਦਿਵਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਪੱਧਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨਿਰਦੋਸ਼ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਏ ਗੈਰ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਵਰਤਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਨਿਆਂਪਾਲਿਕਾ ਦਾ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਵੀ ਫਿਰਕੂਕਰਨ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਭਾਈ ਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਹਿਤਾ, ਸ. ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਭਿੱਟੇਵਡ, ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸ. ਸਤਨਾਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਖੀਵਾ, ਸ.ਮਹਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਅਕਾਲੀ ਆਗੂ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਪਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ. ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮੱਕੜ, ਸ. ਗੁਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਖਸ਼ੀ, ਸ. ਸੁਖਮਨ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ. ਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਸ. ਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਮੇਤ ਹੋਰ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
Amritsar, November 3 – On the 40th anniversary of the 1984 Sikh Massacre, a Gurmat Samagam was held today at Gurdwara Shaheedganj Sahib, Tilak Vihar, Delhi. The event saw participation from various Sikh leaders, including Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami and former Delhi Committee President Manjit Singh GK.
SGPC President Advocate Dhami paid homage to the victims of the massacre and questioned the government’s performance in delivering justice. He stated that the SGPC is committed to supporting the affected families and will play a necessary role in their fight for justice. Dhami also announced a financial aid of 1 million rupees for Gurdwara Shaheedganj Sahib and noted that the SGPC had provided similar support last year.
During the event, Manjit Singh GK expressed disappointment with the government’s approach toward justice, rehabilitation, and social support for the 1984 victims. He proposed that the central government issue an apology to the Sikh community for the 1984 atrocities. He further noted that while the Supreme Court took suo motu action during the 2002 Gujarat riots, no similar action was taken for the 1984 Sikh massacre, reflecting a discriminatory stance.
Also present at the event were SGPC members Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, Surjit Singh Bhittewad, Delhi Committee members Satnam Singh Khiva and Mahinder Singh, along with Akali leaders Dr. Parminder Pal Singh, Paramjit Singh Makkar, Gunjeet Singh Bakshi, Sukhman Singh, Ravinder Singh, and Manjit Singh, among others.
