ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਲੜਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਕਾਰ ਪਹਿਨ ਕੇ ਇਮਤਿਹਾਨ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਨਾ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਮੁਆਫੀ ਮੰਗਣ ਤੇ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ (ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਾਲਸਾ)ਦਿੱਲੀ ਹਾਈਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਅਧੀਨ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਚੋਣ ਬੋਰਡ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਿੱਖ ਲੜਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਕਕਾਰ ਪਹਿਨਣ ਨਾਲ ਇਮਤਿਹਾਨ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਨਾ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਰਤ ਮੁਆਫ਼ੀ ਮੰਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕਾਤਮਕ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ। ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਪੈਰਵੀ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਲੀਗਲ ਸੈੱਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਜਗਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਾਹਲੋਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖ-ਰੇਖ ਹੇਠ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।
ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਜਗਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਾਹਲੋਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖੇਗੀ, ਇਹ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਕਕਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਮਤਿਹਾਨ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਮਿਲੇ।
ਦਿੱਲੀ ਅਧੀਨ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਚੋਣ ਬੋਰਡ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੀ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਭਰਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
The Delhi High Court has directed the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board to issue an unconditional apology for not allowing a Sikh girl to take the exam while wearing her Sikh kakkars and to impose symbolic fines on them. This case was pursued under the supervision of Jagdeep Singh Kahlon, Legal Cell of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee.
General Secretary Jagdeep Singh Kahlon stated that this is a significant victory for the Sikh community, and the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee will continue its fight to ensure that every Sikh student is allowed to appear for exams while wearing their Sikh kakkars.
The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board, which recruits candidates for Group B and C departments, has been instructed to comply with this ruling.
