ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ: ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੀ ਐਗਜ਼ੈਕਟਿਵ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਭਾਈ ਨਰੈਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੌੜਾ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਥ ਤੋਂ ਛੇਕੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੇ ਫ਼ੈਸਲੇ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਚਰਚਾ ਛੇੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਮਾਨਯੋਗ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਪਾਰਲੀਮੈਂਟ ਭਾਈ ਸਰਬਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਫ਼ੈਸਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖ ਪੰਥਕ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਪਲੂਸੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਖਰ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਭਾਈ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਦਲ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਡੁੱਬਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਤੇ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਵਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੀ ਟਾਸਕ ਫੋਰਸ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਸੀਲਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਧਾਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਦਸਤਾਰਾਂ ਉਤਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਪੰਥਕ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੀਟਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਦ ਕੀ ਸਿੱਖ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਲੂੰਧਰੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ? ਕੀ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੇਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੁੰਚਦੀ?
ਸਰਬਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਫ਼ੈਸਲੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੀ ਬੌਧਿਕ ਨੀਚਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਥਕ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਤੋਂ ਡਿਗਣ ਦੀ ਪੀੜਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਮਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਫ਼ੈਸਲੇ ਪੰਥਕ ਇਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ।
ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਪੰਥ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਪੱਖਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਚਰਚਾ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਦਿਵਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
SGPC’s Decision to Excommunicate Bhai Narain Singh Chohra is Against Panthic Traditions: Sarbjit Singh Khalsa
Amritsar: The SGPC’s executive committee’s decision to excommunicate Bhai Narain Singh Chohra from the Sikh community has sparked widespread debate within the Sikh circles. Member of Parliament, Bhai Sarbjit Singh Khalsa, has strongly criticized the move, calling it contrary to Sikh values and a reflection of sycophancy and intellectual decline.
Bhai Khalsa questioned the double standards of the SGPC, asking, “When the SGPC’s task force wields swords and attacks Panthic organizations within the holy precincts of Sri Harmandir Sahib, dishonoring the turbans of Amritdhari Sikhs, do Sikh sentiments not get hurt then? Is Panthic dignity not violated at that time?”
He further added that such decisions tarnish the sanctity and unity of the Panth and align the SGPC with forces that are leading it towards moral and administrative decline, akin to the influence of political families.
Khalsa emphasized the need for introspection within the Sikh leadership and urged the community to resist actions that undermine Panthic unity and the dignity of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. This incident, he said, calls for a broader dialogue on the social and religious priorities of the Sikh community.
