ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਚਾਇਤੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਪੱਧਰਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਹਰਿਆਣਾ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ ਕਰੀਬ 700 ਪਟੀਸ਼ਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਸੁਣਵਾਈ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਨੇ 250 ਪੰਚਾਇਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ‘ਤੇ ਲੱਗੀ ਰੋਕ ਵੀ ਹਟਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ‘ਚ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਸਵੇਰੇ 8 ਵਜੇ ਤੋਂ ਉਥੇ ਵੋਟਿੰਗ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਜਨਰਲ (AG) ਗੁਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੀ ਰਾਹਤ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕਈ ਬੱਦਲ ਮੰਡਰਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ।
ਪੰਚਾਇਤੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਸੁਣਵਾਈ ਅੱਜ ਸਵੇਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਹਾਈ ਕੋਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹਰੇਕ ਪਟੀਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਜਨਰਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਟੀਮ ਨਾਲ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੰਚਾਇਤਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਰੋਕ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਉਸ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਟੀਸ਼ਨ ਵੀ ਪਾਈ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਪੌਣੇ ਚਾਰ ਵਜੇ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾਤਰ ਪਟੀਸ਼ਨਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰਥਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ।
ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੇ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਮੁਲਤਵੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਮੰਗ
ਦੱਸ ਦਈਏ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਜ ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਪੰਚਾਇਤੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਹਫ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਮੁਲਤਵੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਵਫ਼ਦ ਸੂਬਾ ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ ਧੋਖਾਧੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਲੋਕ ਸਹਿਮੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਜਵਾ (Partap Singh Bajwa) ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਰੱਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ। ਅਸੀਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਤਿੰਨ ਹਫ਼ਤਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਮੁਲਤਵੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਸੱਤਾਧਾਰੀ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਜਾਅਲੀ ਬੈਲਟ ਪੇਪਰ ਛਾਪੇ ਹਨ।
15 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੈਣਗੀਆਂ ਵੋਟਾਂ
ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰ ਦਈਏ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ 15 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਚਾਇਤੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਹੋਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਚੋਣ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ’ਤੇ ਵੀ ਚੋਣਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਪਰ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਉਮੀਦਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦਗੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤੀ ਰੱਦ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
The path for panchayat elections in Punjab has been cleared as the Punjab and Haryana High Court dismissed nearly 700 petitions. Additionally, the court lifted the stay on the election process for 250 panchayats, paving the way for voting to take place tomorrow morning at 8 AM. Punjab Advocate General Gurwinder Singh called it a significant relief for the public. Initially, there were doubts about the elections, but now it is confirmed that they will proceed.
The hearing on the panchayat elections began in the High Court this morning, with each petition being challenged on different grounds. Advocate General Singh, along with his team, was present in court. The election process for the 250 panchayats, which had previously been halted, is now set to continue. A petition was also filed against this. The decision was delivered at around 3:45 PM. Most of the petitions were filed by leaders and supporters associated with the Shiromani Akali Dal and Congress.
Congress demands postponement of elections
Earlier today, Punjab Congress leaders requested the State Election Commission to postpone the panchayat elections by three weeks. A delegation of Congress leaders met with the State Election Commission, alleging widespread fraud in the elections, leading to public fear. Partap Singh Bajwa stated that they are not asking for the elections to be canceled but are requesting a three-week postponement due to alleged forgery of ballot papers by Aam Aadmi Party leaders.
Voting to take place on October 15
It is noteworthy that the panchayat elections in Punjab are scheduled for October 15. Although the elections are not being held on party symbols, opposition parties claim that nominations of their supporters and candidates were forcibly canceled.
